Soft and light, filled with a decadent custard cream, these Italian doughnuts are always a special treat. Originating in a country that is renowned for its love for food, bomboloni are essentially big round doughnuts packed with an irresistible filling! Even though they are often large and generously filled, they are so light and delicious when you take a bite. In Italy, they are often served as breakfast alongside a cup of coffee.
These can be made with simple ingredients, readily available in your kitchen and not only can you make them any time you want, you can also fill them with your favorite fillings! Your loved ones are guaranteed to love these and anyway, I don't think there's much that can beat fresh, warm doughnuts, is there?
