Remember those summer times during your childhood, when the whole house smells like cookies? Well, these cookies will most certainly bring back all those fond memories. Buttery, soft with a tangy sweet jam center; they are the perfect tea time snack!


Bare in mind these are not Linzer cookies. They are closer to a thumbprint cookie. I was inspired by both of these recipes when making these cookies, It is very quick and easy recipe. It is also kid safe recipe and so if you have a little bundle of joy running about, you can make these cookies with them. These cookies will for sure be an adorable gesture of love especially made for your family!

How long can I keep these?

They last for a good week in an airtight container, but in our case they vanish within two days.


Can the dough be made ahead of time and frozen?

Yes, absolutely! Make sure that you take it out of the freezer and keep it at room temperature for about 5 minutes before baking if it's frozen solid. This helps it spread the appropriate amount.
